We’re excited to announce that we have placed the order for new entrance doors at the Drill Hall.

In line with our Heritage status they will be produced in timber and will closely resemble the current doors.

We’ve teamed up with a reputable and recommended company based in Ware. The main change will be that they will fit and close better and they will be installed in readiness to accommodate a new digital entry system.

The doors will be installed later this year and we anticipate activating the digital entry system before the end of the year. Ample notice will be given to everyone about the new entry system before we switch it on.

This can’t come too soon as we have once again had to urgently replace the keysafe due to defective keys. The sooner we can use a digital keypad to open the doors the better! It’s been our aspiration since we took over the management of the Drill Hall and we are really excited to finally get this project underway.
